Con gli occhi dei bambini (Through children eyes)

La giraffa di Mattia (5 anni)

 La mostra "LA MIA AFRICA. Appunti di viaggio tra Malawi e Zambia" si è conclusa ormai da due settimane. Tanti bambini della scuola materna di Vinovo sono venuti ad incontrare i miei animali e per me oggi è stata una gioia vedere i lavori che hanno realizzato con la maestra Marina.

La zebra e il leone di Matteo  (4 anni)

Uno dei motivi per cui dipingo gli animali e perchè penso siano esseri puri, guidati dall'istinto. Ritrovo le stesse qualità nei disegni dei bambini piccoli esseri sono guidati esclusivamente dal cuore, che non hanno paura di mostrare.

E' stato per me un compito arduo scegliere i disegni da pubblicare in questo post, perchè sono tutti bellissimi e unici.
Ringrazio Marina Oddenino per la sua sensibilità nei confronti del mio lavoro e per il grande lavoro realizzato per rendere ogni giorno diverso e speciale per ogni bambino.

The exhibition "LA MIA AFRICA. Appunti di viaggio tra Malawi e Zambia" ended two weeks ago. Many kindergarteners came to meet my animals and today was a joy to see the work they've made with the teacher Marina.

One of the reasons why I paint animals is because I think they are pure, driven by instinct. I see the same qualities in children's drawings. The little beings are driven solely by the heart, and are not afraid to show it.

It was a daunting task to choose the drawings to be published in this post, because they are all beautiful and unique.

I thank Marina Oddenino for its sensitivity towards my work and for the great work done to make every day different and special for each child.

Birds in Art 2013

Ieri sera si è concluso il weekend di apertura della mostra BIRDS IN ART presso il Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, USA.

Quando sono partita non sapevo davvero cosa aspettarmi... ma sapevo che iniziava per me un' incredibile avventura, fatta di persone e luoghi inaspettati.

Sono commossa ed onorata per essere stata selezionata a questa importante esposizione internazionale, dove non solo ho trovato artisti e lavori di altissimo livello, ma anche una grande famiglia che mi ha accolto a braccia spalancate, dallo staff del museo a tutte le persone che sono venute a visitare l'esposizione.

Non sono mancati momenti realmente toccanti come la nomina di Terry Miller a Master Artist e momenti di puro divertimento come condividere una partita di basket o il selvaggio birdwatching.

Un continuo divenire dal punto di vista lavorativo, ma soprattutto dal punto di vista umano.

Sono realmente toccata nel più profondo del mio cuore.

 WISCONSIN I'LL BE BACK NEXT YEAR!!!

Last night ended the opening weekend of the BIRDS IN ART exhibition at the Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, USA.

When I left I did not really know what to expect ... but I knew it began for me an incredible adventure, made ​​up of people and unexpected places. 

I am touched and honored to have been selected for this important international exhibition, where not only did I find artists and works of the highest level, but also a great family who welcomed me with open arms by the staff of the museum to all the people who came to visit the exhibition. 

There were really touching moments as the appointment of Terry Miller Master Artist and moments of pure fun as sharing a basketball game or wild bird watching. 

A continuous evolution from the point of view of work, but especially from the human point of view. 

I am really touched to the depths of my heart.
WISCONSIN I'LL BE BACK NEXT YEAR!

Il Riposo vince alla BBC Wildlife Artists of the Year 2013

IL RIPOSO (THE REST) vince nella categoria International Artists: Mammals al Concorso BBC Wildlife Artists of the Year 2013.

A rhino sleeps, illuminated by the moonlight. The rhino is a poetic, prehistoric animal whose skin tells stories of an ancient landscape, mud baths, fiery sunset, and also slaughter for its valuable horn.

Un rinoceronte dorme, illuminato dalla luce della luna. E' un animale poetico e preistorico poetica la cui pelle racconta storie di paesaggi antichi, bagni di  fango, tramonti di fuoco, ma anche di massacri per il suo prezioso corno.

The judges said: A clever and beautifully painted piece. It has a historic feel to it, very apt for the choice of subject, and is a worthy winner for its presentation and skilled execution.

Commento della giuria: Un pezzo eseguito con abilità e un bellissimo dipinto. Ha un'atmosfera storica, molto adatta per la scelta del soggetto, è un vincitore degno per la sua presentazione e l'esecuzione abile.
