Buone notizie! "The sentinel" e "The wises" sono stati selezionati per la mostra Wildlife Artist of the Year 2015 organizzata dalla David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation che si terrà presso Mall Galleries, Londra dal 30 Giugno al 4 Luglio 2015.

Sono molto felice di comunicarvi che "L'eremita" ha ricevuto un "SPECIALLY COMMENDED" al Golden Turtle International Contest che ha inaugurato ieri 27 febbraio 2015 presso il Museum of Moscow a Mosca (Russia)!

I am very happy to announce that "The hermit" received a "SPECIALLY COMMENDED" Golden Turtle International Contest which opened yesterday February 27, 2015 at the Museum of Moscow in Moscow (Russia)!

February Exhibitions

Febbraio sarà un mese ricco di appuntamenti!

Iniziamo con "Style & Spirit", mostra collettiva che inaugurerà giovedì 5 febbraio alle ore 18 presso il nuovo spazio MUVI, via Andrea Maria Ampère 27, Milano. 

 

 

Dal 5 all'8 febbraio sarò presente presso The Gallery, Sculpture by the Lakes (stand 60) parteciperà a Works on Paper Art Fair, Science Museum, Londra.

"On the sunny rocks" e "The ermit" parteciperanno alla finale del concorso internazionale Golden Turtle nella categoria Graphics, Animal in Nature. La premiazione si terrà presso The House of Artist a Gorky Park, Mosca.

Scusate l'assenza...

Mi devo scusare, ma non ho più avuto molto tempo per seguire il blog. In questi ultimi mesi ho lavorato molto e tra disegni e vacanze di Natale mi sono un po' persa.

Comunque vorrei condividere i 3 miei ultimi lavori in cui ho messo tutto il mio cuore e la mia anima.

I apologize, but I have not had much time to follow the blog. In recent months I have worked very hard and between drawings and Christmas holidays I was a bit 'lost.
However I would like to share my last three jobs where I put all my heart and my soul.

La tana, matita su carta, 9x29,5 cm (The burrow, pencil on paper)

 Il primo è un piccolo scoiattolo striato che ho incontrato sul Lago Yellowstone questa estate. Questi piccoletti sono una presenza costante nel Parco di Yellowstone e non hanno paura dell'uomo. Ricordate però che è severamente vietato dargli da mangiare!

The first is a chipmunck I met on Lake Yellowstone this summer. These little guys are a constant presence in Yellowstone Park and have no fear of man. Remember though that it is strictly forbidden to feed him!

Richard Parcker al Giardin Botanique, matita su carta (pencil on paper), 27,5x23 cm

Il secondo è un lavoro ispirato al libro "Vita di Pi" raffigurante la tigre Richard Parcker in acqua al Giardin Botanique. E' stato molto divertente realizzare questo lavoro, nonostante avessi paura di non riuscire a risolvere i riflessi nell'acqua.

The second is a work inspired by the book "Life of Pi" depicting tiger Richard Parcker into the water at Giardin Botanique. It was great fun to perform this work, even though I had fear of not being able to solve the reflections in the water.

Il terzo e ultimo invece è un'immagine che porto nel cuore dopo la mia ultima avventura in Abruzzo a fine novembre. Dopo una lunga e faticosa camminata sul Monte Amaro ho passato uno splendido pomeriggio insieme ad un piccolo branco di camosci.

The third and final instead is an image that is in my heart after my last adventure in Abruzzo in November. After a long and arduous walk to Mount Amaro I spent a wonderful afternoon with a small herd of chamois.

"DRAWN" opening

Oggi è un grande giorno! 

Dopo mesi di attesa inaugurerà la mostra DRAWN presso The Gallery, Sculpture by the Lakes, Pallington Lakes, UK. Simon Gudgeon curatore della mostra, nonchè scultore di fama internazionale, spiega così il perchè di dedicare la mostra inaugurale dello spazio The Gallery esclusivamente al disegno: "Il disegno è l'abilità che sta alla base di tutte le altre arti e il risultato che purtroppo manca in tante opere di arte contemporanea."

Un grandissimo onore per me essere ospite in questa magnifica galleria, affiancata da artisti di fama internazionale:

Today is a great day!

 After months of waiting DRAWN exhibition will open at The Gallery, Sculpture by the Lakes, Pallington Lakes, UK. Simon Gudgeon curator of the exhibition, as well as internationally renowned sculptor, explains the reason for dedicating the inaugural exhibition space The Gallery exclusively to the draw: "I have chosen this as the first exhibition because drawing is the skill that underpins all other arts and an accomplishment that is sadly lacking in so much contemporary art."

Wild in de natuur 2014

 

Si è inaugurata il 1 Novembre la mostra "WILD IN DE NATUUR" presso Kunsthuis van het Oosten, Enschede, NL. Putroppo non ho potuto essere presente all'inaugurazione, ma ringrazio Oskar per avermi inviato le foto del mio spazio.

 

It was inaugurated on November 1, the exhibition "WILD IN DE NATUUR" at Kunsthuis van het Oosten, Enschede, NL. Unfortunately I was unable to be present at the opening, but I want to thank Oskar for sending me the photos of my space.
